Scholarship Program
The Black Heritage Festival's Scholarships are awarded to eligible graduating high school seniors in Calcasieu Parish. Applicants must have a minimum 2.8 GPA with a minimum 18 ACT score.

Scholarships are awarded to eligible applicants who are, in the opinion of the Scholarship Committee, most worthy of an award on the basis of academic excellence, community service and leadership. One scholarship per high school in Calcasieu Parish is awarded based on eligibility of applicants.

Scholarship applications are available through all area high school counselors, the Black Heritage Festival's website at www.bhflc.org or by writing the committee at BHF Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 16706, Lake Charles, LA 70616. Applications must be postmarked no later than April 1st of the graduating year.
